* High Grade Hardened alloy disc material is superior to common cast iron.

* If small 14" or 16" discs are good, why don't the clipper factories use them?

* Continuous sparking removes dull metal. Observe the disc you plan to buy. Does it spark over its entire working surface? If not, you are buying a "dud".

* Beware of so-called "automatic" machines. These can never duplicate the needed fine touch and control of the human hand. They also waste time and require 2 to 4 minutes to sharpen a pair of blades. The Vicsco machine sharpens each blade in 20 seconds!

* The sharpening surface of poor quality, mass produced discs have tiny surface scratches (which produce zero sparking and heat) or have micro phonograph record type surfaces, which wear rapidly or fold over, causing blade failure. These tiny lines are continuous screw thread shaped and cannot support the sharpening powder. Most of the time the surface fails because the chisel shaped tips fold over! The Vicsco discs have engineered, solid individual grooves 1/16" wide X 1/32" deep.

* Saving a few dollars by buying a sub-standard and mediocre machine will always turn out to be a bad decision. Quality costs more, your success is at stake!

* Don't be fooled by wild, irresponsible, exaggerated claims! Painting a disc purple or making it look like swiss cheese will not produce a "million" sharpenings!

* Professional people, like Veterinary Doctors, Dog Groomers, Barbers, Beauty Salons, etc. demand absolute first class work. They won't tolerate anything less! You must be the best, that means having the best training and EQUIPMENT!
